These terms are an agreement between you and GIZENO LTD, a company registered in Cyprus (Reg. No. HE 493133) at Pafou 28, 4630 Erimi, Cyprus. Butterpages is our trading name. "We" and "us" mean GIZENO LTD.

By using butterpages.com or ordering a book you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy and our Refund and Reprint Policy are part of them.

1. What Butterpages is

We make illustrated books about a real person. The words are written from the memories you share with us, and the pictures are drawn from a photo you upload. Both are made with artificial intelligence (AI). A person on our team reads every finished book before you receive it. You can buy the book as a digital file, and add a printed hardcover.

2. Who can use Butterpages

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• We ship printed books to addresses in the United States only.
• Books are about adults. Do not upload a photo of anyone under 18.

3. Your photo and stories

• You confirm that what you tell us is true as far as you know, and that you are allowed to share the photo and the stories with us.
• The book is about a real person and may mention other people. Only share what you are comfortable seeing printed in a book they will read.
• Don't ask us to make anything hateful, harassing, sexual, threatening, misleading or unlawful, anything that infringes someone else's rights, or a book about a public figure. We may refuse or stop any book. If you already paid, we refund you.
• You keep every right to your photo and your stories. You let us use them only to make, check, deliver, print and support your book, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don't use them to train AI models, and we never show them publicly or in our advertising without your written permission.

4. The free preview

After the quiz we make a free preview: the cover and the first pages. No card is needed. The preview is a first draft. The full book is written and drawn after you order, using the extra answers you give us then. The pictures you saw in the preview stay the same.

5. Ordering and paying

• Prices are in US dollars and are shown on the offer and at checkout before you pay, including shipping for a hardcover.
• Any sales tax we have to collect is shown at checkout.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• Your order is accepted when your payment goes through. We email you a confirmation with your order number.

6. Finishing your book

• After you order, we ask a few more questions and ask you to approve some lines. These are lines that state something only you can confirm, like a reason, a date, or something private. Nobody reads the book until you have said yes or asked us to change them.
• If you don't answer within 14 days, we may finish the book with what we have. Any line you haven't approved is left out.
• A person on our team reads the whole book before we send it to you.

7. Delivery

• Digital book. We email you a link to read and download it, usually within 2 days after you answer the final questions. If it will take longer, we tell you.
• Printed hardcover. Our printing partner prints it after your digital book is ready. Printing takes about 3 to 5 business days, then the shipping time of the method you picked. Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. We email you a tracking link when it ships.
• We ship to the address you entered at checkout. If it is wrong, tell us right away. Once a book is printing we can't change it.

8. Made with AI

The words and pictures are made with AI and checked by a person, but they can still contain mistakes. The pictures are an illustrator's interpretation of your photo, not an exact portrait. That's why you see a preview first and approve the important lines yourself. If something is wrong, tell us and we fix it as described in our Refund and Reprint Policy.

9. What you can do with your book

• Your book is for personal use. Keep it, give it, read it aloud, share it with family and friends and post it on social media.
• You may not sell it, or use it to advertise or make money.
• To the extent we have any rights in the words and pictures made for your book, we give you permission to use them for personal purposes, forever. Our website, software, designs and templates remain ours.

10. Refunds and reprints

If you change your mind before your finished book is delivered, or we can't make it right, we refund you. Printing faults, damage in the post and our mistakes are reprinted for free. The details are in our Refund and Reprint Policy.

11. Our responsibility to you

• We make your book with reasonable care and skill.
• As far as the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim about an order is limited to what you paid for that order, and we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable.
• Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it to be limited, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the place where you live.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page when you place an order applies to that order. If we stop offering a book you already paid for, we refund you.

13. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the state where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts. Before any formal dispute, please write to us first. Almost everything can be solved by email.
